The role

  • We are looking for translator and interpreter to work with a number of our prestigious UK based and international clients
  • The designated candidate will be required to produce and edit written materials in English across a wide-range of topics and formats to the highest standards. As an Interpreter you would be required to interpret from English to required language including French ,Spanish, Japanese and Chinese
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to also translate from English to Chinese

The responsibilities

  • Writing across a wide variety of long and short-form formats (press releases, speeches, website copy, social media) in required language
  • Researching, conceptualizing and creating original content
  • Proofreading and editing the company’s materials produced in your spoken language
  • Translating documents, reports and press releases from English to language X to a high standard conveying the intended meaning of the original.
  • As an interpreter the above duties would be conducted verbally through various communication forms such as telephone, virtually or face to face.

Requirements

  • Fluent speaker of your spoken language, Chinese language is strongly preferred
  • Hold relevant qualification for document translation
  • Professional and reliable with a strong focus on detail and quality to work
  • Excellent communication skills

Mandarin Teacher 

The core purpose of this post is to contribute to the continuing development of the School’s curriculum and to the overall development of the department through the delivery of Mandarin up to GCSE. Mandarin accounts for 0.6 of the timetable, with the teacher also delivering a combination of humanities subjects at key stage 3. It is expected that all staff will consistently plan and deliver good and outstanding lessons within the department.

We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Mandarin Teacher who can inspire students and contribute fully to a very active team .

 

Responsibilities:

To work within and contribute to an established academy and department frameworks for

  1. Lesson planning, delivery and evaluation
  2. Student behaviour and care
  3. Student assessment

Responsibilities in details include :

  1. To actively contribute to the teaching of Mandarin across all age and ability ranges
  2. To actively contribute to the teaching of humanities subjects at key stage 3
  3. To remain informed of current developments in the subject area, to participate in and to initiate change where appropriate
  4. To consistently plan and deliver good and outstanding lessons, ensuring that a variety of teaching resources are utilised
  5. To ensure that students’ work is marked regularly and conscientiously, in accordance with the Departmental and College marking policy
  6. To set and mark internal examinations and tests as required
  7. To demonstrate a good knowledge of a wide range of teaching methods and to implement these in the classroom
  8. To be fully committed to and actively contribute to the departmental and College enrichment activities programme
  9. To provide accurate information for parents as directed by the College and to attend parents’ evenings and other presentation meetings as directed  
  10. a strong commitment to the central role of the form tutor (responsibility for a tutor group)

Teaching Assistant 

The Middle School is looking for Teaching Assistant to join the teaching team.  You must have sound knowledge of how student learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning. You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual student  and be able to work as part of a team. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills. You may be required to teach in different course , including international language .

 

Main Purpose of the Job:

To support the classroom teachers with their responsibility for the development and education of all students.

 

To assist in the development of students’ learning, the provision of care and the management of students’behaviour under the guidance of teaching staff/senior colleagues.

 

Support for the Student

1.       Assist with the development and implementation of individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.

2.        Support student with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.

3.        Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.

4.       Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.

5.       Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.

6.       Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.

7.        Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
